Pellets are very popular in the match scene but not so popular on the big carp scene, they really are an edge. Every carp swimming loves the taste of pellets and they come in so many sizes and flavours, you can use a low oil course pellet in the colder months when the water temperature is down. When it gets warmer you can start using the higher oil pellets such as trout pellets. These are also a great indicator for when there are fish feeding on your spot, this is because of the high oil levels and will leave a slick on the surface which will flatten off any ripple that might be about. Pellets also keep the carp grubbing around for ages and even once they’ve eaten them all, there will still be fish searching the area for more food.
